Introducing our Shiitake (Lentinus edodes) log dowels. These colonised dowels allow you to inncoculate wooden logs so you can grow magnificent Shiitakes. These ready to go dowels are infused with the powerful mycelium of the Shiitake mushroom and will spread throughout the log they are implanted within. Their favourite types of wood are oak and beech although other hardwood trees can be used.
 
Dowels are carefully crafted to ensure they are free of contamination. Simply drill holes into a suitable log, insert the dowels, and watch as the Shiitakes fruit. Melted wax can be applied to help seal entries and improve results.
